Organizing the training course on DART-TOFMS wood identification technology
On August 11, 2023, the Forest Industry Research Institute under the Vietnamese Academy of Forest Sciences, in collaboration with the United States Forest Service (USFS), organized a training course on DART-TOFMS wood identification technology. The purpose of the course was to introduce the DART-TOFMS wood identification technology to all staff members of the Forest Industry Research Institute.
The staff were introduced to general information about the project, its activities and achievements, the DART wood identification technology, as well as the limitations and difficulties during the implementation process and the directions for upcoming activities of the program. The staff also participated in the analysis and identification of wood samples using the AccuTOF equipment provided by the United States Forest Service.
