In this study, the rapid identification of wood species used to make Nguyen Dynasty woodblocks using mass spectrometry technology (Direct Analysis in Real Time - Time of Flight - Mas Spectroscopy DART-TOF-MS) was studied. The research results showed that DART-TOF-MS technology gives fast results and high accuracy. The wood samples used for the identification process are also very small, so it is especially meaningful for valuable wood artifacts. The identification results showed that the wood used to make Nguyen Dynasty woodblocks was made from Thi wood (Dyospyros sp.). This method has many advantages and can be applied in practice in Vietnam.
